Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van
(Lunch)
06:30 – 07:00: Pick-up at your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter or meet at our office. Depart for Lao Cai Province via the modern highway (approximately 5.5 hours), offering scenic views along the journey.
12:30: Arrive in Sapa. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then check in to your hotel and take a short rest.
In the afternoon, transfer to Y Linh Ho Village and begin a scenic trek through rice terraces along the Muong Hoa Stream to Lao Chai Village, home of the Black H’mong ethnic group. Learn about their unique culture, traditional indigo clothing, language, and way of life.
Continue trekking to Ta Van Village to visit the Zay people, a small ethnic group living peacefully in the mountains of Northwest Vietnam.
Car/bus will pick you up at Ta Van Bridge and transfer you back to Sapa town.
Dinner is on your own.
Overnight in Sapa.
Day 2: Sapa – Silver Waterfall – Heaven Gate – Fansipan Peak
(Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast, start a scenic drive uphill toward the Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range, passing rose farms and terraced chayote fields.
Stop at the beautiful Silver Waterfall, where you can walk along the cascading stream and enjoy the surrounding scenery. Continue to Heaven Gate and Tram Ton Pass (2,047m), the highest mountain pass in Vietnam, offering breathtaking panoramic views of both sides of the Hoang Lien Son range.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, transfer to the Fansipan Cable Car Station at O Quy Ho. The 20-minute cable car ride lifts you to nearly 3,000 meters above sea level, offering stunning views of Hoang Lien National Park, Sin Chai Valley, and surrounding peaks.
From the upper station, climb the stone steps (approximately 40 minutes) to reach the summit of Fansipan (3,143m). Celebrate your achievement and take in unforgettable views from the top of Indochina.
Return to Sapa town in the late afternoon.
Overnight in Sapa.
Day 3: Sapa – Cat Cat Village – Hanoi
(Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast, enjoy the fresh mountain air before starting a downhill walk to Cat Cat Village, home of the Black H’mong people and located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain.
Explore the village, visit the scenic waterfall, and see the historic hydroelectric power station built during the French colonial period. Stop for photos at the bridge and waterfall, then walk back toward Sapa town.
Check out of the hotel and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Free time for shopping or strolling around Sapa town.
15:00: Depart Sapa for Hanoi.
20:30: Arrive in Hanoi. Tour ends.
